This Halloween, Daley Plaza again becomes FRANKEN PLAZA on October 23-31 with new performances, movie nights, arts & crafts and much more. Opening day is 11am Friday, October 23 and admission is free.  Presented by the City of Chicago, FRANKEN PLAZA continues through Halloween: Monday-Wednesday 11am to 3pm and Thursday -Sunday 11am to 8pm. Please note that the Halloween Happening Parade is canceled.

On October 24, don’t miss the Monster Bash with “Thriller” dance lessons at 3:15pm; hayrides from 12:30 to 3:30pm; and trick-or-treating begins at 12:30 while supplies last!  Come see how Daley Plaza (50 West Washington) is transformed into FRANKEN PLAZA where both kids and adults can take part in pumpkin decorating, spooky storytellers, scary movie nights and performances to amaze and thrill audiences.

Franken PlazaEach day there are performances from the high flying aerial entertainers known as Midnight Circus.  They will perform at (10-23) 2pm, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm on Saturday, Monday–Wednesday 11:30am, 12:45pm and 2pm. Thursday–Friday 11:30 am, 12:45pm, 2 pm, 5:30pm.  Sunday 11:30am, 12:45pm, 2 pm, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm.  Arts and crafts activities (11am -3pm) for kids on Sunday 10-24 and Saturday 10-31.   While supplies last!

Midnight Circus presents the eco-friendly, acro-centric, high-flying, gravity defying, green Halloween spectacular!  An exciting, accessible, highly skilled, funny to the bone, ensemble oriented circus that travels by bicycle. The show will include live music (provided by the Musical Maestro on the saxophone and his CD spinning sidekick) played through a vast PA system powered by energy created by acrobats.



Pyrotechniq FansBack again this year, dance, theater and fire are fused at Franken Plaza by Chicago based fire artists, Pyrotechniq & Dahui Drumming Circle.  They combine the elements and elevate the art of fire to new heights, creating not only an exotic and exhilarating experience, but a unique, magical synergy meant to enliven and dazzle children and adults.  Performances are scheduled for (10/23) at 7:30pm, (10/29 & 10/30) at 6:30pm and 7:15pm with a special showtime on Halloween night –7:30pm.   Bring you own bags and visit the Farmers Market on Daley Plaza (7am – 3pm, Oct. 26-30) for the fall harvest of pumpkins, squash, apples, cheeses, breads and more.
