Monkeytown Tour 2012…
MODESELEKTOR (LIVE)
$21 adv. – $25 day of / 18 & Over / Doors: 8PM / Show: 9PM

Berlin techno wizards Modeselektor, hot off the heels of their recently released third album, bring their completely new live show to North America this April, stopping at Metro on April 21. Tickets go on sale this Saturday March 10 at noon at the Metro Box Office and online at metrochicago.com / etix.com.

Modeselektor returned in full force to their club-oriented roots with the release of their third album, Monkeytown, out last year on their own Monkeytown records. Monkeytown shows Modeselektor’s Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary producing hard-hitting, smart club music that steps forward in sound and structure, yet still completely assaults the dance floor.

There’s no better way to experience Modeselektor than via their live show, and this coming April, they’ll give North Americans that chance as they finally make their way stateside in support of this release. The Modeselektor tour will take them from the west coast, where they play Coachella, to select dates in Canada, the northeast and Midwest, and then back to Indio for Coachella’s second weekend. Their April 21st date at Metro is the only show scheduled in the Midwest.

The completely new live show will feature dazzling visuals created by the superbly stylish design collective, Pfadfinderei, and brand new album tracks along with some Modeselektor classics. As always, one can expect a fully engaged stage performance with lots of bass, sweat and humor.

Come see this unique artist at Metro on Saturday April 21. Tickets are $21 advance, $25 day of show. The show is 18 & over and starts at 9pm.
