Is there anything better than just sitting back and relaxing with some drinks and friends while listening to good downtempo and lounge music? While this type of music may not appeal to everyone, you can’t argue with having a nice comfortable place to just chill out on a Tuesday night.

Smart Bar has just announced a new series that begins on Tuesday, February 9th and continues every Tuesday night. They describe it best in their press release:

A weekly series focusing on downtempo and lounge music with deep house, dusty hip hop and trip hop influences, CHILLED aims to draw music fans into the warm confines of Smart Bar on Tuesday evenings. This laid back series provides music fans with a casual, relaxed atmosphere with great music, and is the perfect place for an after-dinner drink or a cozy night with friends. CHILLED is free every Tuesday, and starts early, at 9pm. Every Tuesday Smart Bar resident DJ John Simmons provides the backbone of CHILLED, and he’ll be joined by guest DJs every week…

Sounds like a great time to me and I’ll certainly be checking it out!
