Wonderland Express at the Chicago Botanic Garden (11/27 to 1/3)

Take a magical trip to a winter wonderland of twinkling lights and holiday beauty at the Chicago Botanic Garden! Outside, 750,000 lights sparkle and welcome you and your family to the Garden’s wonderland. Inside the Regenstein Center, a 10,000-square-foot exhibition of miniature trains winds over bridges, under trestles, past waterfalls, and through more than 80 mini-replicas of Chicago’s favorite landmarks. Paul Busse, designer of the Model Railroad Garden, created this amazing exhibition exclusively for the Garden’s holiday celebration.

This sounds like a wonderful place to visit in order to get you into the holiday spirit.  I was lucky enough to win 2 free tickets in a contest they were having on twitter (@chicagobotanic).  I plan on visiting soon and will certainly report back on my experience.  In the meantime, take a look at a youtube video they made. Also, feel free to comment if you have visited this event!:
